Well said Jacky. Having just returned from 4 weeks away on holiday I assume that was when your thread was posted. But I will now add my positive thoughts. As to the inuendoes and mischief making threads. I think we none of us have any right to accuse people on here of lying. If someone says they are ill, who are we to say they are not, and even worse, who are we to demand proof. I didn't see the accusation of the affair but, even if it is true, it is none of our business and certainly not for us to talk about on here. I would love to see this forum return to how it was two years ago. OK there were a few arguments but none of the pure vitriole that we get on here some nights (which is why I switch off before 11pm). Most of the time it was light hearted banter and always total support for each other. It was a pleasant place to be, which itis not always these days. Bit confused by your name change but I assume you are The Jackie J (Webbs in April?) Ann Glos

What a sensible post Jacky, I replied on another thread saying sorry i had missed your update about the lad as I had put a post on his original thread, please would you nudge the update? I find it awful that anyone should have to prove an illness which is why i said so last night, Many thanks Jacky, Caz xxxx

I try to keep out of the arguments but I have found recently that I have also become wary of posting support for people as you are often seen as to choosing sides. I try to speak to everyone people of both sides and those who are neutral but even though I have never been told not to speak to anyone or warned off by anyone it is hard to be treated fairly when you have more in common with people from one group and therefore speak to them more and become friends, you are often avoided by the others even though you have done nothing to offend these people. It is also hard when you get on with two people who do not get on with each other, it can make you feel like piggy in the middle. It is human nature to be friendly to those that make the time and effort to be friendly with you, the problem on here is that it makes you the enemy of others. Peace and love to all Jackiexx

I don't like the thought of being in a 'gang', lol! I don't post much on here as there is seldom anything to interest me, but I make my own judgements about who to 'talk' to based on what I alone see and interpret, which may of course be different to other people's views! I have found the majority of people on here to be helpful, pleasant and supportive, and the few people I have met in person have been lovely.

Hi Jacky - I'm the sort of person who doesn't take sides (I don't know what's going on & neither do I want to anyway!!) - I talk to ANYONE who talks to me & if some people don't like it then TOUGH!! I'm my own person. I've been through the wringer myself this past 9 months & have realised that life is too short - my whole outlook on life has changed, as have my priorities. I didn't see the thread about the 14 year old but will add him to my prayer list asap. I hope this helps both him and you because you sound so down.... Sending you ((((( hugs ))))) & prayers. Ails x

Hello Jackie :-) I'll be honest I'm a bit surprised if you're talking about the thread I'm thinking of because that happened weeks ago. Apologies if it isn't, as I haven't been around much lately. Was this the thread that was made by someone who deleted themselves very soon after they posted it? They made other posts that evening too. If so, I think we were all unanimous at condemning/questioning that thread that evening. To be honest I've never seen so many people sticking up for the person in question, ie no one took the posters side in all of this. Therefore I'm a bit surprised that you've used that as an example because for me it meant something else entirely, a time to come together to support those who have been attacked (without proof) On the other hand, I'm sorry to hear about the thread you started re positive thoughts. Unfortunately sometimes threads are missed, particularly with the GR clock being out of sync. I'm sending all my positive thoughts now x lesley

Thank you all for your replies:-) and I am pleased I am not alone in my feelings. Jude, Liz is now well and has dance practice of 3-4 hours for 4 nights this week and next before the competition. I have been given a third course of anti-biotics following results sent back to the Doctor and they appear to be workin thank goodness so I am hoping to be back to'normal' by next weekend which will be 9 weeks. Ann, I hope you had a great holiday and welcome back. The name change was due to people getting me mixed up with the other Jackies and I was forever being asked about the lovely weather where I live! Leslie, There was thread last night concerning the old subjects I am referring to which is what prompted me to post. Thank you for all the wishes for Adam. There will be another thread started for me to send to his Nan to take to the hospital. Jacky :-)

My sentiments exactly Puss, Donna is courageous, kind and as you say beautiful I did not want to be asked if I could justify whether she had been ill on a thread last night, I found it abhorent to be asked such a question, Caz xxxx

Sorry Jacky that I misspelt your name. You only had to say ;-) Sorry I normally proof read what I type before pressing send but my mum was ringing the doorbell as I was finishing off the post and I was rushing. I'm awful with names too. It took me ages to spell Sheila right (and even then I've got a friend who spells it with a gh ). I wouldn't mind but people are always spelling my name wrong so you would think I would try harder lol I'm sorry that these arguments have been raised again. I wondered what had provoked this post. Things just get too personal on here from all sides. There are more important things in the world to worry about.

Hi Jacky, I'm another one who doesn't know what to say when people ask for prayers and positive thoughts. I read the threads but don't answer because I'm not religious and can't think of anything to say. I don't think that only a few responses means that people don't care just that they don't know what to say that helps. Gwynne

Thank you again for the replies. I apologise if anyone thought I was geting at them for not posting a reply on the thread about Adam. What I was trying to highlight was the fact that a thread about an ill boy and a nice thread recieved little response whereas argumentative threads do and threads on exactly the same topics when posted by some people get a lot of replies. You all excelled yourselves today with the response to the thread Colin started for me about Adam. I have posted an update. Jacky :-)
