Glad you were able to reunite the dog and owner, Shows how important it is to have animals identity marked either with a disc or microchipped or even better with both, for dogs. And to make sure the info is upto date. what a happy ending for them Shirley |

Meant to have told you this earlier...........Hubby was out walking the dog this afternoon when a lorry driver at the sewage (yuck) works near us said he'd got a stray dog and could hubby help. So off he went with our mad thing in tow to find this beautiful Greyhound/Lurcher (Brindle). He was laying under a tree. Hubby gave me a ring and l dashed down with a lead and some biscuits - whilst l was on way the driver phoned the number on the disc - a young man in Devon answered - we are in South Wales!!!!! It turned out the owner was staying in The Forest of Dean and had been walking her dogs at Symonds Yat yesterday about 5pm when this one got lost - HE HAD travelled about 20 miles, probably crossed motor ways and other roads to get to Monmouth. Oh if you'd seen his face when his owner arrived in the car - oh bless him, he was soooo pleased to see her. He must have been exhausted and was very hungry - HAPPY ENDING:o))))))))))))) jude sarf wales Lo)) |
