and how does it affect your daily life??? I am only 5ft2' and being such a shorty makes it hard to make my sons cabin bed - I have to climb on top of it to reach the corners.... in the supermarket, I have been knwon to climb up the shelves to reach the top LOL !!!!! Clare x

I'm short and always have to get a shop assistant to get things from the top shelf. Oddly enough most of the things I buy are stacked on top shelves lol skwirrel

Me too...I always buy the 12 pack of bottled waters...where is it...on the top shelf!!!! Think I will knock myself out with it one day LOL!!! Clare x My kids are too short at the moment to send down to the shop, and Oh is always working away, so I have to improvise!!! Stilts sound good actually!!

Im 5 3 and normally wear trainers or in this weather flip flops my main problem is I cant reach the top shelf in my food cupboard so I put all the nice stuff up there so I cant just grab it lol

One good thing tho... I do get the choice of the teens section of clothes, and the girls section of shoes!!! lol only a size 3 or 4 and its cheaper!! I have got one or two age 14 or 15 items in my cupboard!!!! lol Clare x

I'm 5' 6' and still cant reach the top shelves in my cupboards, have to put my heels on to reach lol And, my son pats me on the top of my head as he walks past me lol

Im 5'4 & 1/2, i cant reach the top shelves in my kitchen, but shopping im ok as i wear heels.

I'm a little short a...e , 5 foot 3, always have to look around for the nicest looking tall young man in the supermarket to help me get things off the top shelf, thats my story and I am sticking to it LOL. Can't even get things out of my wall cupboards in the kitchen, often to be found with a long wooden spoon trying to reach an elusive item at the back of the cupboard. I like tall men and feel very femine next to my hubby 5ft 10 so would not want to be taller just a little thinner. Joy

Funny that, coz I like tall men. My hubby is 6ft1'!! I went out with a bloke who was 6ft4' when I was a teenager - must have looked really ridiculous!!!! Clare

5ft 9 so get stuff off shelves for people have trouble with getting trousers as well. daughter whose 14 is almost as tall as me already and has longer legs than me like a beanpole she is dx

I'm 5' 10' and am constantly being asked at the supermarkets to reach up to the top shelves for other customers. It's quite a good conversation starter, actually! I've always loved being tall but as a youngster I wouldn't contemplate a boyfriend who was shorter than me. Good job my husband came along - he's 6' 4'. My daughters, as you'd expect, are tall but the younger one is not as tall as the older, the older being 5' 11' and the younger 5' 8'.

I'm vertically challenged - 5ft 1' and I often borrow other women's husbands in order to get stuff down off the top shelves in the shops! I know for a fact that those shelves are designed by men (with men in mind) as of course most men do the majority of the shopping - Not! Jacqui

hi there, im a shortie to only 5ft 4'. oh 6ft 4' & think my darlings r going to be as tall as him too. i must admit sometimes i do pinch the childrens b.rm stool to get to the top shelf at home...lol i know what you mean bagpuss i went out with a lad at school who was 6ft 8',i still see him now & my neck still hurts when i have to look up to him to chat g&c. peggy
