Hey Ladybird, my Daughter works for the MMU (she also used to be a student there)...she's just moved from the Library in Alsager, to another Department as she is due to go on Maternity leave soon. You may have seen her around!? Wish I had joined her and gone as a mature student... I didn't do Uni....but I can read....do I qualify!? lol Nanna-Moo ;-))

Maggie - same as me with regards the NVQ - l'm not qualified now to work with adults with learning difficulties :o((

I went to King Alfred's College (now Winchester University) at the age of 40, with 4 GCE's, 1 GCSE and two teenage daughters!! Came out at 43 with a 2:2 in Education and Religious studies (seperate modules). Not been able to use them to get a job though!! I'm also not qualified enough(?) to do what I used to do - Learning Support Assistant, as I haven't got an NVQ - despite the fact that the NVQ is just small parts of the Education degree - mad isn't it!!! maggie

I went to Newcastle Uni and did English Lit and language and I passed with a 2:1 honours, happy days catherine xx

I am at manchester met uni, and i am doing a foundation degree in health (mature student) lol should be doing an assignment now lol ann

I attend the University of Life and I got my Grandma's degree in March 1993. After upgrades in 1997, 1998, and 1999 I (hopefully) will have a further grade added in 3 weeks time! Sue xx

Sadly l did'nt - l'm too thick lol - although l did go back to adult ed and studied Eng Lit, Eng Language and Art. Got D in art and C in Eng Language - had to stop the Eng Lit but got B in mocks:o))) What are you doing Bendy?? jude sarf wales :o)

Hi Wendy, I had a one year secondment from work (on full pay) to do mine. I went to Scarborough (superb location) and lived in hall. It was University of Leeds, B:Ed and I got a 2:1 Loved every minute of it - one of the best years of my life. Jay
