Do you ever sit thinking and letting your mind wander? I did that late last night and
realised I had (almost) forgotten to send a good friend and old colleague a birthday card and he has never forgotten mine. Had his card for ages and had 2nd class stamps in but needed a first class so it arrived in time (I hope). It was a quick dash for 1st class stamps to catch the 9 am post, hoping it will arrive there on Monday.

Windy here but sunny and bright.

I forgot to send / deliver a birthday card this week :-|
The lady actually doesn't 'do' cards much, but I did apologise for not giving her one.

I'll take her for coffee sometime soon, which she will appreciate far more.

Not so mild here, but not bitter either.
I've yet to go out, so I'll see what it's really like then.

Busy, busy. Don't know if there will be enough hours in the day today to get done all that needs doing :-0

It rained overnight but it's bright and sunny here.

You are all up and about so early. I have just finished getting ready and making the bed. Haven't been downstairs yet :-0

We both had a good night's sleep last night with no phone calls from Florida after 9.30pm so that was a bonus. Going to visit the friend who had a heart attack this afternoon. He will be in hospital at least 3 days then they will decide if he can go home or he may be transferred to the specialist heart hospital in Middlesbrough (James Cook Hospital). Hopefully all will be well.

I have a birthday card for one of Bob's cousins that should have been sent to arrive tomorrow. Luckily he lives in the same direction as the hospital so we will drop it through his letterbox on our way. It's been written out and stamped since the beginning of November but just forgot to post it.

A few years ago K took part in trials conducted by someone at James Cook. It’s a beggar to park there - I went once with him and he went in on time, leaving me to wait for a parking space. I just had to sit and wait for someone to leave.

Parking is no better at our local hospital either although the powers-that-be have staggered visiting times between wards to reduce queues that used to back onto the road outside.

Laptop is telling me it's 11 degrees and cloudy, but in fact the sun is doing it's best to burn them away and it's sunny and pleasantly mild. :-)

Just back from walking in local area and looking over garden walls.
Lots of summer flowers still in bloom, especially roses and marigolds.

The usual 2 gardens had their early lovely tall narcissus in bloom too :-D
