Ooh, I forgot to say, I called in for some milk on the way home - the Coop where I got a free bunch of roses the other day. I searched my pockets and was three pence short for the milk so offered a card instead but the lovely lady took the cash and said I could just take the milk and give them the three pence the next time I was in.

A nice bit of kindness and trust - perked me up, it did. :-D <3

Snap, Fly, I was at the crem this morning saying goodbye to my oldest friend - met her 76-and-a-half years ago when I started school. Another of our school friends was there but she went straight home afterwards. The crem was filled to the brim and lots standing. We really need a bigger one here.

It was nice to catch up with her daughters, lovely girls they are and when I sat to eat I found I was on the table with someone else I knew more than 70 years ago. We did not recognise each other but I ask names so it was a surprise because I knew her parents too.

Isn’t it always the case, it takes funerals and weddings to catch up with folk!

We had a sprinkling of rain when I was driving back but it’s been surprisingly mild for this time of year.

School Christmas tree was being decorated in the main hall.
It's a great shape and looks really pretty with dozens of tiny lights lit.
