:-D :-D :-D :-D :-D <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Top o’ the morning to all of you. :-D <3

It’s the 3% Irish showing in me. :-D

Got my updated DNA results last week. Nothing I did not know about where my ancestors came from.

Bright here and birds flying all over the place. <3

Enjoy your day everyone. :-D <3

Bright and calm here :-D

Hi Fly. :-D <3

Must make a move as I have been sitting at the kitchen table so long I may find myself glued to the chair. :-0

What are you up to today, Fly? :-D

Morning Joy & Fly <3 <3 :-D :-D

Bright and sunny here but for how long :-0

Well my updated DNA says I'm 7% Devon/Somerset on my father's side....where did that come from :-S

Off to the twirlers, postponed from last Thursday when Benjamin visited ;-)

Island

Island Report 30 Oct 2025 09:44

Morning Joy, Fly, Belle :-D :-D :-D

It's looking bright out there today, I think we're in for a dry one - not sure on temp yet.
Will I go out, will I stay in? Decisions.....

I had a visitor last night :-D so missed the thread until much later.
Belle, covid jabs, along with flu, shingles etc have never been compulsory for anyone so using the word 'inviting' is a bit of a nonsense really. Many have never had a covid jab and have survived. :-D

Morning Belle. :-D <3

I was pleased to see my Isle of Man DNA showed up too - typical Manx names those ancestors had.

The only surprise was Hebrides and Western Highlands but on reflection, I think my Jeffrey family must have travelled down to the Scottish Borders from there.

I had nothing out of GB further afield than The Netherlands and North Western Germany.

Nothing exotic about me! :-0

Morning Island. :-D <3

I have had my flu and covid jabs - shame to let that research go to waste, I think. If I had not bothered, I think my scientist brother would have thought I’d gone mad.

I put the last of the rice out for the birds this morning as I never eat it. The little blighters are becoming fussy eaters though as they take all day to get rid of it. They much prefer the seed mix that K used to buy for them - but I used up the last of that so I shall have to get another tub.

Only I know how I felt back then and how I feel now.
As I've said, I shielded my partner for two years - that was two years with no socialising except for the odd 'distanced' visit in our garden by just two people. Although not the reason for his hospitalisation, my partner was taken by sepsis - where's the jab for that?

I had the flu jab on Tuesday. Arm still tender.

Afternoon all :-) <3

It was bright and chilly, but is now just chilly :-|

It's stayed dry though, so to and from school was OK.

Tomorrow could be bleak for us, wet and really windy.
Just what you don't need, when it's someone's funeral.

One of the adults at school was saying that they put their Christmas tree up at half term :-0 :-0

Afternoon all <3

It was bright and sunny here this morning but now it's dull and grey and decidedly chilly.

A house a couple of streets from us has got their Christmas tree up already :-S

I don't like to think about Christmas too much before December.

Enjoy the rest of the day.

I acknowledge, Island, each to her own. A couple of my friends aren’t having the covid jab this time either.

Kath, Xmas tree already ! It’s not even November, let alone December. :-0

I rejoined the U3A today and one of those there was a girl who worked at the same place as me when we wuz younger so it was nice catching up. I am joining the group that took my interest when I was looking online and I have put my name on the Christmas dinner list already. :-D
