Afternoon everyone :-) :-D :-D :-D

Overcast and chilly :-)

Had a cataract removed 10days ago. Had been waiting 2years for NHS to do it. Had a phone call had been booked into a private clinic, went for the pre-op tests and it was very clean which what you would expect at the prices they charge. The optician will do the check soon and will send a report to NHS & clinic.

Enjoy your day :-D :-D :-D

Morning everyone :-) <3

Could have sworn I posted yesterday :-S :-S

Good luck with your sales, Fly.
At least if it's dry, more people will hopefully call in.

A dull, but dry start to the day.
I've got my Covid jab later. I hope they're as speedy as they were with the flu jab last Saturday ;-)

A great hospital visit, Kath. I'm pleased for you that it went so well and that you have the option of contacting them direct, if you need to.

I've only had 2 brief experiences of private hospitals, both very favourable.
Back in late 2021, my usual NHS hospital sent me for a special scan before I was due to have a planned op.
We still had distancing restrictions, but the initial contact on arrival set the tone, when we phoned the reception desk from the car park, as requested.
I was told to walk to Reception, where "The concierge will meet you and accompany you to the correct department.".... and they did :-)

Have a good day everyone. <3

Morning Maddie, Lovely Elizabeth, Fly & Kath <3 <3 <3 <3 :-D :-D :-D :-D

Fly, go get em ;-) :-D

Kath, Pleased all went well with your appointment. I had a similar experience a year or so back with one of my fingers :-). It was a private clinic in a wing in the hospital, the consultant sent me for an X-ray. Got to the X-ray Dept which was rammed, I thought I would be there for the duration :-0. No sooner had I sat down I was called for the X-ray and returned to the Clinic...sat for about 10 mins and was called into see the Consultant again :-). The Consultant had the results of my X-ray on the screen and gave me a diagnosis.....none of the faffing around waiting for another appointment which may or may not turn up :-0. It begs the question if a private Clinic can provide this kind of service why can't the NHS :-S :-)

Morning Belle :-) <3 Maddie :-) <3 Elizabeth <3 Fly <3 Everyone :-) <3

Sunny to start off this morning but it seems to be clouding over a bit now.

Hospital went well yesterday. It was an NHS appointment but at a private hospital in Middlesbrough that I didn't even know was there until I got the appointment. What a difference. The place was spotless, the receptionist friendly and had a joke with us. The waiting area was comfortable and when it was time for my appointment the consultant came out to call me in himself at exactly the appoinnted time. In and out in just 7 minutes as I thought I would be because my thumb had definitely got a lot better in the intervening months. However he did say that if at any time in the next 12 months it got worse again I could just phone said hospital and ask for an appointment with him without having to start over by seeing GP again.

Have a good day everyone. Good luck Fly.
