It's still bright and sunny here. Read my book in the garden for an hour after getting back from seeing my friends. It was really warm - and all my washing was dry :-D

No Gwyn, son has only lifted the carpet on the stairs for now so he can see if he can stop some of them creaking. He has to take up the rest of the carpet on the landing, in the hall and in the front room.

The decorators aren't coming till the week after next but there is so much to move so we are doing it bit by bit (we both get tired easily and bad backs don't help :-(). New carpet will go down when the decorators are finished.

Because of ill health (and laziness) we haven't touched the house for nearly 30 years so everywhere needs doing. Hopefully we will decorate the dining room and kitchen next year (although the kitchen will be staying as I couldn't contemplate having the kitchen ripped out even though it could do with it) Fresh paint and new carpets everywhere will do for me

We all have the same weather today. Bright and sunny here too.

Lots of washing to do today then off out for coffee with friends this afternoon :-)

Grandson finished The Great North Run in 2 hrs and 6 mins. Well done to him because he is not a runner. Can't believe they put the wrong map on the medal :-S

Maybe it will be valueable in years to come :-D
