Not just a bit of ‘wet eye’ but full blown weeping. Not a good look for such a senior politician whilst sitting on the front bench.

All of them are showing how weak they are in one way or another

I agree i wont lose any sleep over her - she certainly wont help the pensioners in any way.

I would like to know why the pensioners are always the forgotten link.
The majority are just about managing to make ends meet - not everyone has a work pension. They should have a way to sort them out and they need to up the personal allowance for the over 66's so they don't need to pay tax because the State pension went up. It should not be taxed.

Ir would be good if they treated everyone the same.

Climbing down from my soap box now.

They wouldn’t know where to start LG.

Those on the old state pension still have a tiny bit of wiggle room but those on the new don’t. Mind you, I still don’t understand why we don’t all get the same basic amount.

I get a lot less than my OH as I didn't work while bringing up my kids and I could not afford to make up the missing stamps as things were tight.

We should set up a petition, need to get Age Concern wound up.

when i get my state pension in Sep i will get more than my oh, he thought he had paid full National Insurance when he went self employed but the pension people said he didnt. so he gets somewhere between the two.

Tried many times to talk to them an they ignored us. Been told to go to our MP but she is useless.
