Has this already started. The hospital in Weston Super Mare has closed including A&E because of a large influx of coved patients.

My cousin lives near there and said that the beach area was really busy last week.
If people herd together at the first opportunity, it is very likely to bring severe consequences.

The pictures from beaches at Brighton, Bournemouth and Southend on Sea were absolutely ridiculous. Crowds packed on the beach like sardines.
I will be very surprised if the "R" number doesn't go up again.

No, it isn't the second wave, just infected people meeting a lot of other idiots on a beach.

The second wave will come after this first wave has more-or-less finished, and we've all began to relax.

It is expected to arrive in September-ish over here, but some European and Asian countries have seen it arrive about a month after they have recorded no new cases, few people still in hospital and no deaths for at least 4-5 weeks.

You're nowhere near that yet.

The next increase will be called the Cummings wave.

Everything's free and easy,
Do as you darn well pleasy,
Why don't you make your way there
Go there, stay there.

If you're blue and don't know where to go
Why don't you go where

Nooo, don't do it, purleease!

I see his Mum has come out and said that her brother was very ill (with covid, from memory) and died while DC was in Durham.

A sad time for the family as it is for millions of others.

This could run on and on and on :-0 :-0 :-0

Carrying on the wave/waive theme - shouldn’t it be - wipeout?

The sea,
We see dancing along the shores of clear bays,
Shimmers with silver
The sea
Changing shimmers
Under the rain

The sea
With the summer sky
Mix up her white horses
With the angels so pure
The infinite azure shepherdess
Sea

Sea
By the ponds
Those big wet reeds
See
Those white birds
And those rusty houses

The sea
Has cradled them
Along the shores of clear bays
And with a love song
The sea
Has rocked my heart for life
