Tess.... leave the housework it will still be there a day after you do it!
Is it one to go tonight? Wonder who will be first off? :-D :-D

I'm okay thanks Ann. Time seems to have flown by recently. Haven't done much on my tree (on another site) on been on here.
Just don't know where the year has gone.

Trying to get back into the swing of things now. Perhaps my housework needs to go to pot again (not that I do much anyway).

Looking forward to the complete Strictly season. But I still haven't even started dancing.

Lovely to see my 'gal pals' joining in again this year. Bob you are always welcome! :-(

I must admit I was surprised to see Take Two on BBC1 last night! I shall give this a miss this year, I cannot stand all the gurning that goes on.

Well hello Tess, how are you?

Enjoyed the first week, The two tall male celebs (you know who you are) were disappointing. Hope that they can enjoy themselves next week.
Some real surprises, especially the table tennis olympic champion and the CBBC presenter.
Will have to get back into the habit of taking notes.
Looking forward to next week.

P.S. The lady from Lonleat is also a chef. Not sure if I have seen her on T.v in the capacity.

Obviously not enough people have been watching Strictly it takes two (or whatever it is called) because they have shunted Pointless forward and put it Takes two onto BBC1. Just wish they would not mess around with the programmes. All we will do is record Pointless and watch at the usual time. I can't stand the shouting on it takes two and not keen on Zoe Ball.

Oh dear Bob. #lobs over a throat sweet#

Beloved, went and watched something else in another room. :-D

I got more frustrated with all the whooping, squealing and clapping all the time.

Let the dancers dance, then clap. Have a bit of decorum. :-D :-D

I could not get out of watching last night, as it would have been rude to go out when we had visitors who were fans. I spent most of the time shouting at the telly, "SIT DOWN" every time that weird Italian bloke got up and waved his arms about and spoke in that exaggerated accent he uses. I think he is secretly a Yorkshireman. I am going to modify a Pac dog training collar that is wired to his chair so that every time his bum lifts off the seat it gives him a shock. I await the opprobrium of all you fans.

Got through the marathon just. Enjoyed most of it but the screaming
hordes upstairs and downstairs spoil it for me, that I feel will not
change.
Maddie I will stick with it, keep the coffee and sandwiches coming ;-)

I meant to say, it was nice to see Anton DANCE. Instead of steering someone around the floor. :-D

LondonBelle Report 22 Sep 2019 09:32

I agree, Ann, about Darcy...a hard act to follow :-(. No doubt Motsi will grow on us :-D

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 22 Sep 2019 09:25

I didn't see them all dance but of those that I did Dev Griffin & Michelle Visage surprised me :-D

Also, the replacement guy, Kelvin, but surely he must have a dancing background :-0

Anneka gets 10 for energy.....she seems to have that same energy and enthusiasm she had back in 1882 :-0. Good on her :-D

It was entertaining wasn't it. I thought Kelvin had promise but it remains to be seen if he can be as good with ballroom as Latin. Some of the others were good for a first time too. I thought Craig was a little less critical and a little more encouraging than usual. It wouldn't be Bruno if he managed to keep his b** on his seat! Shirley was very fair but also gave good advice. And I think, is she stops emulating Bruno in the excitable actions Motsi will be an OK judge. Missed Darcy though.

MotownGal Report 22 Sep 2019 08:47

Crikey, that was a marathon! I was starting to take root in my seat.

However, even though I didn't know who all of them were. The standard seems to be somewhat higher than some previous years. OK there were a few plodders, but that was always to be expected, not everyone has rhythm, and it was only week 1. But they put on a good show.

Motsi was very animated and encouraging I thought. Shirley was critical but fair, Bruno was excitable, and Craig did his Maiden Aunt act.

I enjoyed it.
