This nigh on two hours lark, seems to be the norm now. I don't remember last year being soooo long! Maybe I have selective memory.

Come back Bruno! :-D :-D

I fear it will be between David and Mike tonight. David looked a little awkward maybe because he is so tall. I don't know what to say about Mike's dance. I didn't know what to make of it.

That Karim seems to master every dance he is taught. Very nimble on his feet. Loved the talking dog last night. I don't watch CBB's as I don't have any kids of that age, but I imagine he is part of the programme. Made me laugh. :-D :-D

Before the show I reckoned that it would be either Dave or Mike to leave. However, when I saw that they had both raised their game and put everything into the dance, I changed my mind. So much so that I got my dialing finger working and votedfor Devi and Dianne and Emma and Alijaz. Only one vote each, as I don't usually vote this early on and I I'm a spendthrift.
Then I watched the results show, wasn't really surprised as I thought that both couples were in danger, (hence my paltry votes) but was rather disappointed.

BMust confess though that I did also vote for one more couple too - David and Nadiya, just didn't want him in the dance off again, as he had improved so much.

Comfort myself that it wasn't wasted votes as the money raised goes to children in Need.
Had no trouble getting through to any of the numbers. I voted a little while after the dancing had finished as my bladder couldn't last through the whole evening so I put the t.v. on pause. So my "live performance" was a few minutes after most peoples.

I read that about the lines going down. My understanding of it was ALL the lines went down, and ALL the contestants got reduced votes. So your guess is as good as mine!

I wish we could see the public vote.

MR_MAGOO Report 14 Oct 2019 10:10

That’s one of the problems with technology good when it works but a nightmare when it hiccups.

Must be using the same lines as GR :-D

The BBC won’t admit it though.

I watched the Results show on IPlayer and boy was I surprised :-0. Mind you I thought they'd all stepped up a gear and I didn't know who be exiting :-0

On the night I do think Emma's dance was the better of the two

There is talk in the press that Dev's phone line wasn't working properly, people have complained some calling it a fix :-0 :-0

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 14 Oct 2019 08:21

Well that was a surprise! No way did I expect Dev to be in the last two, nor Emma come to that.

So with that in mind, I wonder what next week will bring?

AnninGlos Report 13 Oct 2019 15:22

Ooh yes he made this old lady very happy :-D

Yes I did see that Mel, just put it down to the oddity of celebrities.

I can't call who I think will go out

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 13 Oct 2019 12:54

Once again didn't see all the dances but did think that the likes of David & Mike had improved a lot...I really don't know who will be for the chop this week. Think it will be down to who the public like or don't like rather than their dancing .....shame really :-(

Such a shame that those with no dancing background have to compete with those that have but we say that every year

Thought Kelvin's Rumba was very sexy *blushes* :-0 :-D

**Ann** Report 13 Oct 2019 12:49

Throws Emms some earplugs :-D :-D :-D

MotownGal Report 13 Oct 2019 12:25

I cant speak for Emma, but I did wonder why you would fall on the floor when you got a higher than anticipated score. :-S

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 13 Oct 2019 12:14

I did think there was a lot of improvement in the dancing this week and found it entertaining. I do try and ignore the screeching, they are not going to stop that unfortunately. I am a bit confused about you comments re Am dram, am I missing something? I don't remember seeing anything out of place last night.

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 13 Oct 2019 12:10

:-D :-D :-D :-D ;-) Emma. <3

'Emma'

'Emma' Report 13 Oct 2019 11:57

Am with you Maddie, I have complained about the
screaming the dramatics and last night just settled
it for me, OH is a fan but not me.

From grumpy No2 :-D :-D

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 13 Oct 2019 11:24

Oh dear, another near two hour marathon! :-P

I don't know how much longer I will be watching, I am getting fed up with all the screaming all the time. Also the Am Dram does not go down well with me. Falling on the floor with good scores.

Loved the dance with Emma and Anton. So dreamy. I don't know if there were any swivel steps with Catherine's Charleston. Seemed more like a Lindy Hop to me. But yet again, what do I know? ;-)

No idea who will go tonight, as I think some years it is a popularity contest rather than the dancing.

I do sound grumpy, don't I? :-D :-D ;-)

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 7 Oct 2019 19:08

I think it was best that Anneka left. She seemed to struggle with the dance. I did not recognise it as a Charleston either!

My understanding of the dances is that they all have to do a set amount of dances per series, which are allocated to them. Then the pro works out the choreography. I don't think Kevin did her any favours, sadly.

David or Mike next I reckon. :-(

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 7 Oct 2019 14:35

I don't think it is the pro that chooses the dance but I don't know who it is. I wonder if it is the judges?

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 7 Oct 2019 12:09

To be honest, Ann....if I hadn't known it was a Charlestown I would never have guessed..... don't know what Kevin was thinking of, Charleston it's not just steps but also using yours arms :-0 Of course, that's my expert opinion ;-) :-D

I thought Anneka's waltz was so elegant last week but this week...... :-(

Wonder who chooses the dance each week? The pro or someone else? :-D

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 7 Oct 2019 10:58

I thought that too Belle, she seemed so appreciative of everything she learnt. I do blame Kevin though, what was he thinking with the sticks? but maybe she would never have mastered the Charleston. I am 100% sure I never would have done. :-D

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 7 Oct 2019 09:57

Sadly,I agree Ann :-(

Such a pity as Anneka was really enjoying the experience! :-D

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 7 Oct 2019 09:42

I think it was the right choice this week. Anneka was struggling and Kevin's choreography was awful.
