Where he had lived as a wild pussy, my Jacky Milburn was a consummate thief. He stole from me before he lived here and is more than capable of helping himself to a sachet of meat when he is hungry.

Now the weather is hot, I don't feed him because his meat gets visited by the blue arsed brigade and he won't eat it then. I just leave a sachet or two easily available and he feeds himself when he is hungry.

At least he isn't a greedy cat, eating more than he needs!

He as a six sachet a day man for a while but, as he has calmed down and settled in, he is down to two or three.

he knows he is going to get fed regularly now, instead of not knowing when he is next going to find food.
