Anyone watch it? Not normally my cup of tea, but ended up sort of watching just to listen to Graham Norton.
Madonna was awful flat and trueless during her first number Like a Prayer and her new song was over the top policitical for me.

We came last .....I blame brexit :-D

Does anyone remember the threads we used to have on here, how drunk is Terry Wogan ? :-D

Not been the same since Terry stopped doing it. Only watched a bit as we are on holiday in Wales.

Ann ..Terry Wogan was ace got drunker as the night went on. I used to love it when I was child, I think it was Katie Boyle then in her posh frock. I remember watching the new seekers they used to make an issue of bringing on the conductor in them days. :-D

Thanks for that Kense I do not read or post on Barbra's threads she tends to delete them if I do not agree with her wholeheartedly so I stay clear :-D

lol if it's worth saying it's worth saying more than once in GR's opinion ;-) ( It's been doing it for me also). edit they've gone lol

I listened to most of it, while typing, and turned round for anything that caught my interest. As usual the winning song wasn't what I picked, but I thought Australia was spectacular, and a couple of the others were good, at least they made it to the higher points.

Didn't rate Madonna, but am not a fan anyway.

This year was the first year I watched it from start to finish - only because I was born in Hartlepool where Michael Rice comes from.

I didn't think the song would win - even though Michael has a great voice - but it certainly didn't deserve to come last.

Madge, this is most of my post on the other thread:

The only thing that really impressed me was the Australian entry. I don't know how they managed to avoid colliding while swaying about on the tops of those thin poles.

At least they made the voting a bit slicker this year but it was spoilt by the huge difference in marks between the professional jury and the popular vote.

As for Madonna: Oh dear, oh dear oh dear.

I agree Kathleen he did not deserve to come last IMHO Iceland did.

Yes she was favorite wasnt she the Australian singer. :-D
