Had the old biddies meeting at the pub today

The tea is not much bottle so several had squash and I was very pleased that the pub no longer uses straws. They are trying to source some paper ones but, meanwhile, people in the pub have to drink like grown ups.

I've never liked drinking through a straw, or, for that matter, from a paper/plastic cup/glass, but will 'tolerate' hard plastic glasses when camping.
When offered a nasty 'soft' plastic tumbler (you know, the white ridged ones) and a straw, I'm never sure which I dislike most.

I am happy to see the end to plastic straws

A yard of ale saves going to the bar too often....

Hate drinking from plastic always leaves a taste....

I hate coffee from those plastic-y or styrofoam cups, or the soft plastic glasses for soft drinks.

One reason why I carry a travel mug with me.

I'm also gad to see that straws are being removed
