I am very disturbed and upset about the treatment of Aysha King's parents and family, and the fact that now, poor little Aysha is in a hospital without his family being allowed to see him. |

Allan, I was saying that if it would mean the parents could be with their son, then they wouldn't mind a police guard on his room in Spain, not the hospitals are prisons, but there is a guard on the little boy now apparently even tho his parents are locked up and his family not allowed to see him. His brother who keeps posting messages to Ashya and about him, said the eldest brother went to try and visit him and wasn't allowed in. Also someone from the family, I think it was the grandmother, said Ashya doesn't understand Spanish so must be terribly frightened. Poor little mite. All that precious time and comfort lost between son and family. |

This whole affair is not only confusing, it changes by the hour, we now have Donna Jones, the leader of Portsmouth City Council, the authority "which began the legal action" after Ashya King was removed from hospital without his doctor's consent - issuing a statement urging the Crown Prosecution Service "to urgently review the case" and "remove any extradition proceedings, so the family can be reunited with their five-year-old son" |

Whether they were right or wrong it should not have gone this far. |

OneFootInTheGrave | Report | 2 Sep 2014 15:10 |
The more I read about this sad affair, the more I lean towards the view, that some consultant took the hump when Ashya's parents dared to question his/her prognosis on Ashya's chances of surviving from the tumour he was suffering from, they were not prepared to accept that prognosis and the consultant decided to do all possible to thwart the parents efforts to have Ashya treated else where - there are consultants who think they are some sort of demigod whose professional judgement should never questioned. |
