I am watching the programme presented by Gregg Wallace that is about supermarkets and how they deal with Christmas.

There are people topping a whole field of sprouts and throwing the tops away! They are delicious, like spring greens.

I'm quite lucky where I live as our local farm shop sells brussel tops/sprout tops which, as you say, are delicious.

I used to like it when mum bought sprouts on the 'trunk' - the biggest 'stump' ever.
Did anyone else eat the middle bits of cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower etc? You know, the bit everything else is attached to.
We (2 brothers & a sister) used to fight over it!!

Not sprout stalk, which I always assumed was woody, but the but I do always cook the stalk of other brassicas.

Yu won't catch me cookingturnip tops which always taste like they have been gently braised in ear wax!
