Flat pack Fest

Tuesday of last week, I ordered a few flat packs from IKEA - to turn one of my bedrooms back into a bedroom. This consists of 3 high glass panelled cupboards - one with drawers, and a bed - all white.
I thought they'd come some time next week - no, they came last Saturday - at the designated time - 7am!!
I intended decorating before they came, so painted the area where the cupboards will go. Then, once up, I will transfer the books from the open bookcases the other side of the room, remove bookcases and finish decorating before putting the bed up, working around the bed settee that is currently (folded up as far as it will go) in the room.

Got a friend to help me lug the cupboards upstairs, the bed & mattresses are in the front room, where the table was. The table is now in front of the fireplace.

I got one cupboard up on Sunday (not doors though - will need a friend to help) Then daughter informs me she is working Friday night - can I have the grandchildren :-|
Have nearly finished the second cupboard. Will somehow need to get that attached to wall, remove 3rd cupboard and open up the bed/settee by Friday :-\

:-D :-D
Two cupboards up now, one to go - will need help putting the glass doors on though
:-|
Had some help from Betty cat tonight, during particularly fiddly bits, she was ensuring my fingers were clean, by licking them. and giving them a little nibble during very tricky bits. She was also showing me where the bits (placed there in preparation) weren't quite screwed in, by nuzzling them so they fell off/over.
When she thought I was particularly stressed (mainly by her) she jumped on my back and gave me a good massage (memo to self - get her bl**dy claws cut)

Just found not, not only am I babysitting this Friday, but I'm going down to my younger daughter's 'new' house ( she moved last week) on Wednesday - and she and her husband are staying here on THAT Friday!
Someday I'll get the room finished........
