Oh how I agree with AnnC.
When I used to go carol singing that is what we sang as we went back down the path as a thankyou.

We've not had them yet but I now find that each child expects cash - rather indicates that they aren't singing for charity doesn't it....................

I have been known to tell them I will give them something if they sing a verse of an actual carol. With the response Eh?? I thought they learnt carols at school but seemingly not. Those who do sing a carol probably go to church.

Well, Ann, I don't go to church but I know all the words to Gaudete and that's in latin! :-D To me, there is nothing as uplifting as singing proper carols. <3
