Another ridiculous decision by the DWP

The majority of staff at Job Centre Plus sites do not want to be there and really don't give two hoots about their clients. The morale within the DWP is so low that most employees do little to help genuine cases. They don't have the resources. Those out of work are jolly lucky if they have an advisor who actually gives a damn. |

I've read this story on an armed forces veteran's site and it baffles me for the simple reason when I was out of work a couple of years ago Jobcentre Plus actively encouraged me to do several hours voluntary work a week (providing I still looked for work). Therefore I wonder if there is more to this story than is reported, if not then he should appeal :-S |

If this was the reason that former soldier Stephen Taylor aged 60 had his benefits cut then The Department of Works & Pensions should be hanging their heads in shame :-| |
