Staffs ~ I read your post a few minutes ago, then returned to the msn home page (Australia).

One of the headlines is regarding Lee Rigby, with a video.

Shame on msn.

I expect that it will be on extremist web sites and there will be zero chance of those being removed.

Like most of the UK I watched it unfolding on the News and I don't need to have the horrific details replaying on my laptop.

I'm keeping an open mind on if the presence of such requests will actually make the situation worse however the original request came from Lee's family and that is good enough for me

The problem as I see it is.......how many people reading this and any other request on the internet, will automatically go online to see if they can find images. I personally didn't give it a thought until now mentioned on here.....no I am not going to look but I am sure there will be some who will.

No I would never view or upload any images or videos of this nature. The appeal originated on a closed chartroom for ex military people and we have just been asked to share it as widely as possible...like you however I don't hold out too much hope of removing the images from the internet. Pressure is being put on You Tube at the moment to remove the videos and images which if successful will be a start

I wish you luck but sadly I wouldn't hold out any hope of removing all the videos. I haven't viewed any myself and never would but inevitably the ghouls will watch and share.

Hi All,

I have a request to all from the Rigby family.

Lees family have asked me to put out the following request on their behalf, which hopefully you will share as wide as possible.

The family have some concern around the video images which are circulating on the internet. Mainly to protect the younger members of the family they are asking people not to share any of the video images onto public forums. Further, if you have control of any images already in the public domain to remove them.

We appreciate its a big ask to "cleanse" the internet regarding this but lets do our best for the family and the young children in the family.

I have contacted Youtube separately.

Many thanks

The Veterans Party.
