Mum said she used to get a brick hotted up in the oven and then wrapped in brown paper when she was little. :-S.

I still like mine. :-) I like the rubber smell and there's nothing like it for holding against and easing a bad back! :-D.

Maybe Santa will bring you one this year if you are a 'good' girl. ;-)

Instead of the compendium of games I got for Christmas one year when I was about 10, I would have given my eye teeth for a real hot water bottle......no central heating in our house.
