AOL are killing off the eponymous music app "WINAMP" on Dec 20 2014 inc shoutcast. Here is a link where you can get (free) the last version with no extra bloatware etc at all. Edited: (slogan Winamp w-s the l-s a- )

There are rumours that Microsoft may take on the product. Or there again they may not and in any case it would be greatly altered. There are other rumours that it may become open source. It is very unlikely to reappear within Linux or Apple but you never know.
