It is not economic to take it in for repair - a new one is only around £ 30! No idea what DABS or CCC would charge for shipping to Stornoway though. Macbrayne may know. |

Replacements are much cheaper than they used to be. I bought a Canon Pixma MG2150 a few months ago for £30 from A---s - printer, copier, scanner & fax. |

Don't know about other makes. But I had the same problen a while ago with my Epson. The pad is visible when I open up the cover over the ink cartridges - which I have to do to change a cartridge. |

one of my Epson printers came out with a fault error and the cure was to send it to Epson repairer. |
