A popular solution is simply to digitise the whole lot using a film scanner attached to the PC. Avoid SCSI based units and go for USB. They are ez to use and these days fairly cheap. For yr collection the whole lot will fit on a few DVDs depending on the resolution you choose. Once scanned backups and copies are very easy. Do not try and scan negs and transparencies using a flat bed scanner it will drive you nuts. |
