Have you bought any of these seasonal fruits in for Christmas?

A warning has been issued after food testers found live and dead beetles, larvae and insect excrement in seasonal figs and dates on sale in Cardiff.

Although found and tested in Cardiff,I expect they have come into other areas as well.
Don't think I'll be eating any..or eating date and walnut loaf.
Wonder if they have been in before and never tested?we don't always know what's in our packaged food .

I did buy some dates and figs but I can tell you the dates won't see Christmas and the outlook is none too bright for the figs either,

Sometimes it is good to have sight problems. You are forever young and the things you enjoy never have crawlies or creepies in em. Oh yes and everyone else looks young and beautiful too...*smiles at all the lovely people on GR

I read about a sandwich yesterday. That's all I'm saying. Trying to wipe it from my mind. Now no dates for Christmas and it seems I have to prepare all my food from scratch to be safe.
