how absolute, indignantly dare they !!!
I am horrified, nay mortified and so damn annoyed. I this evening, because the weather now is a little chilled and my washing line a tad out of sight of the sun, decided to put my husbands unmentionables (and a few other things) in the tumble dryer. To do this I had to move my old biddy trolley and a couple of carrier bags of nappy bags. I to my absolute horror found the carrierbags had been chewed up (thankfully the nappy bags are intact). I have to think some brave and stupid mouse has been at them, although I have checked around the tumble and can not find a single dropping to say mouse. BUT something has obviously enjoyed the bag as I can´t find any evidence of the parts that are missing either.

I am indignantly not only mortified by this creature but also bewildered as to what it could be if not a mouse.

I did find 2 days ago a poor stunned bat which I put out of reach of the muttleys until it was fine to fly away.

OOH ERR hope it ain't mouses or any other long tail thingies.

I hate and at the same time are terrified of any long tail critters. stems back from childhood when our victorian house at times got invaded. remember the terror of lying in bed and the scampering going on in the ceiling above us. would think they would drop on me or come done the victorian bedroom fireplace.

We always had a least two cats whose job was to sort em out BUT they weren't allowed free roaming around the house.

Big Girls Blouse am I for scampers. Couldn't even allow daughter to bring home the class hamsters or gerbils for the holidays cos they looked too much like rats etc

No droppings ...... ? Mice are incontinent and surely would have left their 'calling cards' :-|

Uzzi. are they plastic carrier bags? If so, some of them are biodegradable - as I found to my despair when clearing my parents house :-0

We had the same problem as Island. We had lots of stuff stored in the loft and garage in supermarket carrier bags. The bags are now a shredded mess which sticks to everything and blows all over the place at the slightest breeze.

The contents of the bags are now scattered all over the floor of the garage and in heaps on the loft boards.

A right old mess, so you might not have little lodgers after all Uzzi. M

Yes Island biodegradable plastic bags do break down I have seen a this at the bottom of a storage bag over time. They just disintegrate but do leave behind a lot of mess.

This is what Uzzi posted I to my absolute horror found the carrierbags had been chewed up (thankfully the nappy bags are intact). I have to think some brave and stupid mouse has been at them, although I have checked around the tumble and can not find a single dropping to say mouse. BUT something has obviously enjoyed the bag as I can´t find any evidence of the parts that are missing either.

So still a bit of a mystery :-S

Now I hadn´t thought about bio stuffy bags and thinking about it yes they were. So with no droppings there fore no mice it all makes sense to me.

Thank you every body :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Glad it's sorted Uzzi but wasps can also eat things.

Not sure they like plastic bags but they definitely like tents as we found to our cost a few years ago. They ate a huge hole in our tent that was stored in a shed. :-0 :-0 :-0

Panic over then Uzzi. Those biodegradable plastic carriers are a real pain in the wotsit, and they do make such a mess as others have said.

However if you didn't find lots of little bits of plastic as well it makes one wonder where they have degraded to, as they don't usually disappear altogether!
