Earlier this week we were at a large garden centre and the main indoors had been given over totally to Christmas - everything and anything.

There was a good range of gifts etc. However we did have fun watching the faces of the 3-5 yr olds - was magic.

I stopped at a waist high table with lots of automated soft toys - a monkey which sang from Jungle Book, an elf, tiger and many others - little boy of three was pressing them all in tummy and I noticed a penguin flapping its wings and singing.
By the time OH caught up with me (devil I am on this scooter)
I pointed out penguin and asked him to get it going - he pressed it everywhere to no avail and in desperation asked the little boy could he get it going - he did - the 'press' button was under the wing!!! He was duly thanked by a bemused 'oldie'.

I am like that, I often ask our 4 year old grandson to sort my mobile out :-S

An added bonus is how little ones also help us rediscover the fascination of ants, worms, ladybirds, puddle splashing, bubble blowing etc etc.......they are wonderful aren't they :-D

Oh Kitty - one can go on swings/slides/pantos/zoo/potato painting, hunt for Easter eggs - (our g.kids always just missed the Easter Bunny) daft dances, tell stories. Magic - trouble is that ours are now 24 and 27 and the 27 marries next year.

I have a photo of her about 18mths sat right back on the kitchen counter sticking sultanas in the gingerbread men. Was I sorry I ever started that - twice a week it would land in here - first words 'men, mamar, men'. By the time she got tired of the ginger men - her brother was ready to take over!

Magic days - enjoy Christmas.

Even before he was disabled, I would get at Fred whenever I could. My mate had four little boys and I just happened to mention to them that he could take his teeth out and could those little lads pester when they wanted to see something! Tee- hee-hee.
