Perhaps they ought to have some sort of phone-in auction on the night, to select whether normal or pudsey programmes are shown. They would probably raise much more that way.

Not only do I not watch Children In Need and Comic Relief, I also don't watch X Factor, Britain's Got Talent, Big Brother, I'm A Celebrity, Strictly Come Dancing, Emmerdale, Coronation Street or East Enders.

No Australian soaps either.

I actually don't even know who most famous people are and have only ever watched about a dozen films all the way through in my life.

It is a shame that so many organisations like the hospices supporting children have to rely on this kind of event just to keep open though. I guess it must also bring some local publicity which might bring donations to small places on a regular basis, which they would otherwise miss out on as you more often get 'chuggered' by the big charities.
