Any computer experts out there who can help please? After a Windows update I am not able to use Genes site fully as a paying member! This is the only site I have problems with and wondered if it could be fixed via the site managers their end?

I'm not an expert by any means but have you tried signing out and then back in.
I think you can contact Genes by clicking on Help at the top of the page. Hopefully they may be able to advise you.

If Windows update was yesterday or today and you use Internet Explorer as your browser you will find that you now have version IE11 installed!! I have problem in that I cannot now access this site with the latest version of IE. However I installed Google Chrome a year or so ago as a backup browser and have just used Chrome to get to this site. Other probs I've encountered with IE/Chrome is that when someone using Chrome sends me a mail with an attachment I quite often cannot access the attachment properly until I "browse" with Chrome. Hope this helps

Thank you for the replies. I had tried so many things (within my very limited computer knowledge to no avail) however last night a very helpful young lady from Microsoft gave me very similar info. to your message Ronald - she also put a link to previous IE on my toolbar so I can access Genes via that. Everything else had seemed to work fine after the update apart from Genes so I assumed it must be this site that did not support my updated browser!
I was actually surprised to see my message on here as it did not show up before the 'fix' - I am pleased it did as someone else may be helped by your information now. Thanks again.

When I saw this read I checked and found I was being offered IE11 - so asked our computer expert whether I should go ahead. He said he hadn't had any problems (which didn't mean there weren't any) and suggested I create a restore point before installing. This I did - and like the others was blocked from Genes but all other sites worked. So it must - surprise, surprise! - be a hiccup only in the Genes connection. I have bookmarked GR now on Firefox.
