The usual seasonal magazine pages about how to organise Christmas pudding and how to disguise the sprouts.

Am I the only person who actually LIKES sprouts?

I like sprouts too :-) as long as they are cooked and not rock hard.

I generally boil them and then fry them in butter with veggie bacon as son likes them best that way...but I like them just boiled also.

According to Terry Wogan ( as OH is always reminding us) if you want to eat them on Christmas day, they need to be put on to boil at Easter. :-D

We'll eat them if they are put in front of us, but rarely at other times

Love them, but they are difficult to get in Menorca, so persuaded OH to grow them.
Problem is, he thought they grew one to a plant & if they were sown in September they would be ready for Christmas.
Guess I´ll be doing the usual supermarket search.

I love sprouts and we have them regularly when they are available.

Has anyone else noticed that they are (I think) the only truly seasonal vegetable still around? All the things that used to be seasonal (beans, broccoli, most fruit) are now flown in from abroad and can be bought all year round.

Nice when gently steamed.

I too like sprouts, often do them with chopped walnuts or bacon. Son in law does them in cream and bacon which is lovely. But I do like them cooked (not mushy) not hard.
