My condolences Susan on your sad loss, I am glad you find a little comfort knowing your father is now at peace and free from pain and suffering. He has obviously left a loving and close family and what more could anyone want.

Thank you Mersey and all for your postings :-) :-),

Just scrolling down the threads and spotted this... I do appreciate your messages.

My Dad is now at peace and free from the awful pain he was in. We gave him a very lovely send off, quite simple but very personal. I am sure he would have approved. No hymns , we all sang his favourite song, "Danny Boy"... most appropriate. The grandies carried the casket in and Dad's children,spouses and an uncle carried Dad out. My son did a reading of his choice from the bible, my daughter delivered a wonderful Eulogy.

He will be sorely missed,
