Just been checking for online shopping with Iceland - sad news - our nearest store will not be doing this until New Year.

Going to our local Iceland shop is a trip and a half ,the only consolation was i spend enough to get free home delivery.

I only do a BIG Iceland shop about every six months and bulk buy on items I cant buy from the supermarket.

Online shopping from them gets my vote . I do online shopping too from Sainsbury if we cant get out to do the weekly shop . Prefer to get out if we can but sometimes needs must as OH has his OFF days

Lidls have snails among other continental treats.
Last yr they had some quite good game birds as well.
Lobsters not up to much though.

We are having a new kitchen installed early in December ... I hope they finish within the alloted 2 weeks ....

Nolls - the truly sad thing is there is only me & OH, no kids, but we just love Christmas.

One year we had to go without our beloved tree in the bay window and all our neighbours commented on the lack of it. We always aim to have our tree up first on the street, have only been beaten once!!!

We do not have loads of decorations up, but our 7ft tree is a must. :-D

In the D Mail yesterday - they reminded readers of the £20,000 hamper they had quoted in October - yesterday there was a photo of the same items as the Harrods Hamper but purchased in Aldi and which came to around £540!

Bit of a difference.

Aldi have had a website for a long time as have Lidl, you can get regular news emails to let you know the offers or check them for yourself.

Don't use Iceland much now as there isn't one near me here, but used to use it a lot when I lived nearer the city centre. I use places where I can park easily as I can no longer carry big bags of groceries.

Have just discovered that both Iceland and Aldi have websites now. Aldi even list the 'specials'.

What has made me laugh in Aldi's is the Christmas toilet paper!!!
