it makes me so mad when I see an ad that starts with....'Free to good home'.....Do they not realise that their unwanted pooch or kitten could be used as bait for fighting dogs?.....could I ask that if anyone sees an add of this kind that they alert the owner to the possible outcome to their pet's life......Do they not see all the stolen/missing dogs adverts?...Where do they think most of those pets are now?......please also alert the nearest animal rescue centre or tell the owner to contact them, where they will be assured of a good home.

Susan who wishes people had more sense :-(

I signed a petition on this on Change.org the other week,

sorry link is too long, but if you google

Gumtree: Stop advertising and selling animals

it should get you there if anyone wishes to sign.

Well done Rose! Being in the doggie world now I hear such horror stories first hand. Some of my doggie people have rescued some or alerted the owner and rescue societies but it still goes on......I saw three tonight and that was just in my neck of the woods.

Not all people want to harm them but a vast amount do GB.....hopefully your neighbour has given it a good home.....personally I want to rescue them all and it makes me mad that I can't do anything more than moan about the situation.
