Sad discovery for me

Whilst indulging in a little You Tube while there is nobody here to inflict my tastes upon I discovered that Barney McKenna died suddenly last year. Banjo Barney of the Dubliners.

The Dubliners are no more as there is one founder member, John Sheehan, left alive.

Luckily they have left a huge library of music for those who like a bit of Irish.

I love the Dubliners, and have seen them live a few times over the years. Last time was about 3 years ago, and Barney Didn't seem very strong then.
I also love the Fureys and Davy Arthur.

I didn't know that, Sharron. I met Barney when he was just a lad and he turned up at my brother's 21st party. He sat in the corner and played all night. Lovely fella...R.I.P. <3
