Having bought some nice ones in the past to protect the carpet I will just have one outside for the wiping of shoes before coming indoors, all they do is keep the bit of carpet underneath clean and no one sees that any way. ;-)

ZZzzz, unfortunately rugs are a No No in our home. Hubby has fallen several times in the past and would fall over a matchstick! Not going to risk rugs.... too hazardous.

I hadn't even thought of the safety aspect, but a valid point none the less.

On a lighter not, years ago my Dad had been in a road accident though not seriously hurt, had a bandage on his head, when it got in from school and asked him what had happened he said........... He had tripped over a match stick and fallen down a worm hole.
