There was a Girl's Crystal as well. I had that at one time but Fred used to have the Eagle and that was a much better read.

Actually, my husband's best friend at school was Plug. Honest. Poor bloke looked just like the lad in The Bash Street kids. M

Am I right in thinking that it used to be Bunty and Diana comics. Then Diana became Princess Diana then went on to be just Princess.

Or am I imagining it ????

I know I used to have both, Bunty with the dress the doll on the back and Princess was a glossier comic and bigger I seem to remember.

Or I might be making that up too. M :-S

What was the gift? I must have had it.

I've still got the free gift from the first issue of Princess.
I don't have the comic(??) though - shame as the two together might be worth a couple of quid.

Never read Bunty but I did have Princess from the time it first came out. Don't know why because I didn't like it. I think they were still making the effort then!

Janet and John caused me great confusion.

Well, I grew up in Tomato Land. We were surrounded by glass here, LSA estates.

In one of the books I read that Janet and John lived in a green house. What? Everybody could see in at what they were doing and it would be very hot in the summer.

It will be in the form of a big cup with a square label stuck on it at an angle and there will be 1st written on the label.
