Never mind how sophisticated or not the test is, if it works then it's worth using.

My o.h. puts peanut butter on the mousetrap and it works well, they seem to go for it, his only problem is disposing of the mice if not killed by the trap. Tally is four so far, I used to watch them eating the hedgehog food even when the hedgehogs were there, but o.h. got fed up with nests being made in the garage and the place stinking of mouse wee.

Neither of us like eating the stuff.

I'm allergic to peanuts......just can't eat the stuff, it does awful things to me, not as bad as some who can't even be in the same room! A friend carries a syringe with her.... if she falls down we know we have to get the syringe & jab her!

When Himself makes a peanut butter sandwich I can smell it from the other end of the house, so I guess I'm not an candidate for early alzheimers :-D

We get mice, but (so far) not inside the house....... if a mouse appears, we soon see a kookaburra in a tree with half a mouse hanging out of its beak :-D

Have never eaten peanut butter, so didn´t realise it was so pungent.
Garlic turns my stomach . Don´t mind it in small quantities in food, but hate it "2nd hand"
If they used that as a test on me I would pass with flying colours,

I suppose it depends what they ask - someone with impaired cognative function might well small something but not recall the name of it.

You sit, with your eyes closed and one finger jammed up your nostril, with a ruler on the top of your nose/chin /where and wonder if you can ''name that smell''

Seems very bizarre test to me!

I read somewhere recently that not remembering where you put your keys is normal.

Forgetting what they are used for......... then you're in trouble!
