you my have noticed that my posting on the above has now been removed - this is the reply I sent to GR

thank you for your email - however, in my opinion, and that of many other posters, there was absolutely nothing in that posting which was in any way offensive - I realise you do not enter into discussions about removals of threads, but this removal was quite ridiculous

How stupid to remove a perfectly innocent thread. Please can you PM me with it Ann. I thought it quite hilarious and want to show my daughters who will appreciate it as much as I did.

Sally. If the implication in your post is that the reporter prays and that people who pray might report Ann's post more than people who never pray or pray rarely, I find that totally offensive. Please amend your post.

I saw the joke and it didn't offend me at all :-)

I have reported Sally's post because it had remained up for over half an hour and was discriminatory and hateful imo. Prefer my report was left for Genes to deal with.

Like many others, I could not undertand why AnnC's harmless and very funny joke was reported, or why the thread was removed this morning. And I totally disagree with actions of reporter. But, unlike some, I am very unclear about their motives and only Genes will know who did it and why.

I feel like im stepping back in time !!!

Most likely they have a robot application which goes through the posts weeding out anything which may possibly be offensive to somebody somewhere.

After that the poster can object and see if Genes Support will flag it as "not offensive" to the robot.

well.

Last renewal time they doubled my OH's fees, (which I paid, anyway)so she cancelled........and as things are now, they wont have mine next year either..........

the joke was funny, imho NOT offensive.

I believe it depends who at GR gets the report! There doesn't seem to be a real rule about what is pulled and what is not.

Trolls with no sense of humour seem to control the boards... and that's NOT funny :-P
