True Ann - it will be daughter's second visit to the island, doubt she will remember living there - she was 13 mths when we went.

OH and I have been there twice since - the last visit to Northern Cyprus and it was lovely - unspoilt. We tourists do tend to spoil sometimes.

It is the only place we have revisited.

Maggie, he and I can go somewhere when he is around. I know he is looking forward to it to seeing our g.daughter wed.

Ann - yes son will come and stay.

When I told Matron - she did not say 'oh no'. As I reminded OH - Matron visits regularly and if I need her, I just have to phone and she is here same day and that we have a very good GP and surgery.

We are very fortunate that way and I read this week an asthmatic has a GP who if she uses 2 inhalers in 4 months asks why.

Think I shall dig out my Harrods hat (as it is known) and wear it once again on her wedding day!!!!!!

Lovely that he will be there to represent you Chris, make sure he takes a camera...... And uses it. Will your son stay with you?

OH is off there next September - without me! At first he said he would not go and I persuaded him - mind you he could have put up more of a fight!!!

Our g.daughter you may recall got engaged last month and is getting married there next year.

I have informed g.son I am putting his Gramps in his charge. They are already planning what they will get up to!! They are very close.

I have told OH he has to keep a daily diary otherwise he will not recall half of it. He will enjoy it and be a good break for him.
