I'm fairly sure that when I was at college our English tutor read us part of one of Alice Munro's stories. I thought it was an excerpt from a novel but may well have been part of a short story, which may account for my not being able to find it since.
It was very good! So I am sure her Nobel prize was well deserved :-D

Sylvia
We were listening to an interview with her on the radio on the way home tonight.

I did think that I ought to read one of her stories so I could make up my own mind.
Hope all is well

Alice Munro has won the Literature Prize

She is a well-known short story writer, now into her 80s.

Unfortunately, I am not a fan of short stories, so I have read only a few of her works ........... but I have many friends who love her stories.
