Did it go down the route of covering private parts, Rollo? Threads tend to get whooshed as soon as something beginning with "me." is mentioned. Shame, cos a lot of interesting stuff - particularly about your ancestor Blair. Would like to know more about him - and his connection to worst living Prime Minister (now that the previous worst one has sadly exited the stage). :-) ;-)

Rumour has it there aren't enough emoticons to go round so maybe 'The Team' is reeling a few back in. ;-) :-D

I think it was AnnX who made barbed comments about a type of wig which would not typically have been on sale in Leicester in the early C19 and certainly not in my ancestor's catalog.

Given the recondite nature of the term surprised to see the whole thread whooshed.

Clearly a full head of hair is a lifeline for some people – or at least for Wayne Rooney and Terry Wogan – while others, unlike Homer Simpson, usher the tide out as quickly as possible by shaving their domes even before the last strands have given up the ghost.

It can be seen by some as the first sign of mortality and all of the quips about grass not growing on a busy street don’t really disguise the anguish it can cause.

Dunno my hair grows faster than the lawn and doesn't take a winter break.

I thought the never ending bills at the hairdressers unfair as so many of my mates were follicly challenged. And then I discovered that nearly baldies do not get a discount ( although I don't have to pay extra if I skip a month ) and even worse have to pay more to have six strands of hair strategically arranged and glued down.

Most amazing of all to me was the large sums of money spent on wigs, toupees, regrow formulas and so on. At the same time the younger generation and some football managers seem intent on shaving off their visible hair.

:-S

Good heavens the sun has got his hat on I thought the energy utilities had put it away for the winter season.
