i havent seen her father since i was 4 months pregnant with her so its not the case of him not taking a interest its more the fact that i choose not 2 have him involved but she does know who her father is she just never knew where he was i went on to have 5 more children who she grew up with so i will see what she says about it

Wouldn't put too much emphasis on spitting image.!

How old is your daughter?
If they are her fathers children, why doesn't she know about them? have you never told her.

I think the biggest thing to consider is this. If her father has shown no interest in her for x years, is anything likely to come of making contact, or will it just cause heartache? Some times ignorance is bliss.

as with most things once they get over the initial shock they can either accept or go different ways you can hold your head up high knowing that you had tried but most families do accept with 101 questions :-D

I found my Belgian half brother a couple of years ago,the product of Dads first marriage.

I knew about him, indeed, spent 40 yrs looking for him, but when I got in touch he had no idea that he had two half sisters and a half brother .

After the initial shock,he was over the moon as he thought that he hadn't any family at all since his mother died.

When I went over to see him as a surprise birthday present,it was an unbelievable, magic time, and within minutes it was if we had known each other forever. :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Geez, I hope I don't get a surprise like that.

we had an unknown turn up in our family a few years back - one of my mother's brothers fathered a child when he was 16 years old - when he was in his eighties this boy turned up - mega shock all round - he has however been totally accepted by the family
