Detective,I thouhjt Judas was one of the twelve and he was replaced by straw poll.
Can't remember the successor's name but I will post it when I recall it.

Friday because that is when Jesus was supposed to have been crucified
13th because Judas Iscariot was the 13th disciple and betrayed him for 13 (edit - slapped wrist - it was 30 ) pieces of silver.

Well - that’s what our Church primary school taught us!

On Friday the thirteenth 1307 the King of France issued an order that all of the Knights Templar were to be murdered.

Apparently they had more wealth than the Pope

Is this perhaps the origion of the superstition surrounding Friday the thirteenth?
