I remember corresponding with a lady who had, literally, hundredweights of damsons. I think she lived around the Vale of Evesham or Hereford way and I was wondering if she had any this year that she might like to get rid of.

I am happy to come and get some rather than have them going to waste and will happily buy her a pub lunch or pay her for them.

Might even send Fred!

I remember that conversation Sharron..... will try to recall the name correctly.

I believe I had corresponded with her about Herefordshire records.

There was a whole lot about damsons on "Countryfile" tonight. They were in Shropshire, at the Ludlow Food Fair.

Ludlow is only just over the border into Shropshire, so perhaps the BBC website would give more details?

Thanks Andysmum but it was a lady who was on here and was inundated with them.

I think there house had once been part of a fruit farm.
