Geeeez where do I start LOL.....well im definitely far too trusting !!! also a little gullible if im honest too.......Recently I have to say I paid the price big time, but now I look back maybe there was a part of me that knew there was something not right......I wish I had listened to my gut feeling in the first place but I have learned from it and will not fall for it again..........

He who shall name nameless has to live with what was done, and infact I hope whoever he is with now never has to go through what I did, and would say please please do not fall for charm, the lies and games are real.......and can be very hurtful not only to oneself but to others around you especially family!!!!

Be careful and please take care when trying to make the right decision if there is any doubt what so ever.........
:-) :-) I have learnt by my Big mistake !! :-| :-P

I'm a bit gullible I must confess and never ever seem to sum people up at first - my two friends on the other hand always seem to have the gut feling which turns out to be so right

I try to like everybody. And usually I find enough good things about them to like them.

But I never like somebody 100%. I always hold back a bit, because you can get let down by the most lovely people. And people can change in their love and in their personality.

My world of total trust in certain people was shattered when I caught a nun for shoplifting in my early retail days.

But I have always tried to see some good in each person, and I think that is right. Even the most horrible people are probably not totally evil.

And, for the record, most people on GR are quite nice on my like scale :-)

I do think a gut reaction, is something you just have, some rely on it enormously, some have only got a smidgen of one, bit like some have got a head for figures, others haven't, it's probably something you're born with, or maybe you acquire in life.

My gut reaction has never let me down so far, so I'd say that I have a strong gut reaction it's served me well throughout life, saved me faffing about with people who I know are wrong 'uns, where others spend time trying to like them, making excuses for them, then are let down badly, couldn't be doing with that.

I love meeting new people, enjoy chatting to total strangers, but I can tell within minutes if they are "my kind of people" I'm not looking for new friends, I have a nice mixture of them already, so I don't just let people into my life, who I think don't deserve my time.

Out of 10 my gut reaction rate is 11 :-D

I go on my gut feeling the first time I meet
them, get a feeling if something not right
and given time usually is the case.

GlitterBaby, I've had it a number of times and have been right long term, even when I've made the effort to dismiss it initially.

Sue , very wise ! ;-)

Sharron Report 29 Sep 2013 12:30

There have been people I have disliked intensely upon meeting them but I have over-ridden that dislike and realized later that the reason I have disliked them is that they have reminded me of somebody who has done something I have disliked in the past.

There have been many others about whom I have been very right, including OH's mother!

I trust my gut reaction and don't allow reason into the equation at all Rose ;-)

"Gut instinct", that first instant reaction to a person or a place, that says you like or dislike' someone, but which you often over-ride with reason.... after all you ' don't know them yet' or say to yourself 'maybe I'll like the place/ job/ person eventually'.

Is your first instinct the right one? and do you trust to it or are you like me and give the benefit of the doubt usually to your cost?
