If you click on Search, top left of screen, and then on Census in left-hand column, it comes up with all census records available. They include Scotland except for 1911.

I have just tried a made-up name on 1891, with Stirling as the birth place and it came up with one option, on a Scotland census. As I don't have platinum membership, I can't view the record, so don't know whether it's there or not!!

Don't put so much information in then you may get some results.

Try name and year of birth

You will only find census's 1841 to 1901 no Birth, deaths or marriages

I KEYED IN A NAME, DATE OF BIRTH AND PARISH. This was after I saw the website on Google saying to search for Scottish ancestors on Genes Reunited. I already use this and thought they had finally put Scottish records on the site. I can access other countries but not Scotland?

Where are you searching, Margaret? I don't use this site for searching records but have just tried a search on the 1901 census (from Search at top of screen) and just putting in a surname and the name of our local parish in the keywords box, it has brought up results.

There aren't many search boxes to enter info into. though.

As advised above, if you start a thread on Find Ancestors board, giving details of who you are looking for, somebody who has access to the census on other sites will help you.

Genes reunited are saying that we can get scottish record on this site, but I don't think I can. When I tried before they redirected me to Scotland's people.

I use http://freecen.rootsweb.com/cgi/search.pl
and
http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/

for my Scottish research, if I hit brick walls I ask the marvelous volunteers on the Find Ancestors board on here :-)

they only go up to 1911 and the 1911 is only viewable on Scotlands People which is a pay to view site .

if you would like a start then give some names and poss birth year and we can try to locate them .

I dont use Genes for records though
