Anyone started buying their Christmas presents, planning their Christmas yet?

My neighbour has made her puddings. :-D

Ive got some Christmas presents :-D :-D Also a few shops vouchers too.... :-D :-D

Another 'austerity' Christmas here :-) But I did say to Dan I would buy him socks lol, at his request because I get the ones he likes and which fit, ever since he was little anyone who has bought him socks has got them too small.

Aside from for family and a couple of friends I won't be spending, but I did think I might make some crackers so the extent of my planning is to look at cracker snaps on Ebay :-)

In answer to your original question Ann, the answer is no. Those I know who do there Christmas shopping early, are still doing it Christmas Eve.

I do most of my shopping a week before Christmas, therefore saving all those days of looking, that others do.

Christmas to me, is more about who I'm with than the presents anyway :-D

my Mum always made the Christmas puddings in the Summer so they didn't steam the house up

I usually buy my Christmas presents on line - QVC - so will start shortly - not so many to get these days

Rose something to do in the dark evenings. Daughter always makes her own crackers. I have visions of you writing the mottos to go in them, rhyming of course.

I have a 'Put-by' box here which is gradually collecting presents, as and when I see something suitable. I started last December / January.
I bought another large sized item today, so will have to find a home for that somewhere until it's needed.
I have a list of items tucked away, but haven't started any other preparations.

I do buy some small items through the year.

I usually buy items as I see them .................... too many times, I haven't been able to find them if I've waited!

Going on holiday to another country is a great way to finish the present list!

We usually buy handicrafts of some sort ............. embroideries, hand crafted items of all sorts. Usually much less expensive than anything here, and very attractive. Even tea towels from a "strange" place go down well with our friends!

Yes I have started buying them,if I see something that will make an ideal gift,I will get it there and then,especially if its a bargain.
I also have 5 birthdays in December,so its an expensive time on top of Christmas.
It's not so bad for the older grandchildren,they like vouchers or money,but the younger ones it's harder.
One year I bought my own Christmas present,saw something and fell in love with it,brought it home and showed hubby,saved him buying me something I didn't really like,that was in Sept.
I did have to wait until Christmas for it,it was fun.

I always buy my son socks for Christmas Rose - he relies on it. Plus pants - keeps him respectable for another year :-D

I have because I found at a sensible price bought my chridlemas meat ( Duck breasts). Mind if I wanted to give pressie I have a whole room to choose from :-D

I might, mind this is only might get a tree to put outside. in the corner by the dog loo. ;-)

I've started looking for bits & pieces for Himself, but haven't found anything yet. I'll have to drop HUGE hints to him..... for what I DON'T want or need!

I thought about having duck for dinner, but he would rather have turkey.... we get a breast, because a big bird is too much for us.

I make the pudding in mid-November....... a microwave recipe (I gave the recipe last year, but if you're interested let me know) and give it a weekly slurp of brandy before we get sloshed on it.
