My body is so dangly I wouldn't be showing much on a naturist beach.

Many years ago I had a manager who was very quiet, prim and very proper and us girls thought he had absolutely no sense of humour.

Then we found out that he and his wife were naturists and always went to a camp at every opportunity. We did giggle, well we were only kids and decided to decline seeing his holiday snaps. :-D

Have spent many holidays at nudist beaches abroad and it really doesn't bother me seeing all the different shapes and sizes, after all we are all different.

I think it's quite sweet seeing elderly couples together unashamed with their aging bodies.

We all came into the world naked and we will probably leave it the same.

Have no problem with naturists in general

But why does it seem to be mainly old men and women who should not show off their bodies, who want to do this?

You rarely see younger fit looking people on telly who are naturists.

I know that my size and OH's we would never consider insulting the eyes of others with our naked sagging bodies. I cringe when I see myself in the mirror, so why would I want to inflict that on someone who does not love me and all my flaws....

My supervisor at work was a naturist.

It seems the worst part of being one is watching your uncle play volleyball.

One little story,

Many years ago our neighbours used to holiday at a nearby beach, part of which was used by nudists. After one such visit the wife told mine that "she wasn't happy sitting down, and her husband had lost all interest in sex".

We've been to Croatia a few times (when I was younger and thinner) and have been on beaches where we would have felt daft wearing clothes because no one else was.

If no one else is wearing clothes either you don't feel naked, if you see what I mean.

I used fairly local naturist beaches in Suffolk a couple of times but only when it was really warm weather.

I have used the naturist beach in Kefalonia and also in Corralejo, Fuerterventura but again the weather was lovely.

I don't think I would go to a camp or club tho, it's ok to be more or less incognito on holiday but to be on chatting terms and first name terms with other naturists would be a step too far I think. It was bad enough that some of the regulars came up to chat to me and my friend in Suffolk all those years back, so embarrassing when you are trying to undress discreetly lol

I have never been to a naturist camp but have been on 2 naturist beaches:-D 1 in Tenerife and 1 in Essex.................believe me in Essex you even want to keep your hat on :-D :-D :-D

I think I've seen the same people as GeordieinNorfolk!

Was in Croatia many years ago and was out on a boat when lots of naked water skiers and windsurfers were waving like mad at us (with their arms mainly, apart from a few - it was very breezy).

It is very liberating to walk around with nowt on indoors, I don't think I'd withstand the scrutiny now in a public place.

Tobe honest no I am not at one with nature or just a scaredy cat .....

Rose....did you know you used to live near a nudist beach?....,don't know if it still exists,but believe it did a couple of years ago.

Used to love the beach from Dyffryn to Llanbedr...not that Ive ever seen any naturists there...well not when we used to go there over the dunes.

I've been to Croatia a couple of times, where nudist beaches are plentiful. I've got a lasting image of a group of elderly nudes standing waving at our boat as it sailed by - none of them the "body beautiful", but completely unselfconscious, bless them!

I just wonder how much it must cost them in suntan lotion! :-D :-D :-D
